4 | Metallurgy & Metrology Quality Control Metallurgy Laboratory consists of Metallurgical microscope with specimen, Rockwell hardness tester, jominy end quench test apparatus, Impact testing machine. Abrasive belt grinder, double disc polishing machine also available in the laboratory for specimens preparation. Magnetic particle inspection setup and brinell hardness tester are kept in the laboratory for demonstration purposes. A Metrology and Quality Control Lab is a specialized space that combines the science of measurement (metrology) with the techniques used to ensure products or processes meet specific standards (quality control). It is a hub where you learn how to precisely measure dimensions, angles, surface finishes, and other critical parameters of components and assemblies. But it doesn’t stop there! This lab also equips you with the knowledge and tools to assess whether these measurements fall within acceptable limits, ultimately ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of the final product. |
