There is always incessant need of strong infrastructure for the development and economic growth of the nation. We contribute in this national growth since 2006 by providing competent civil engineers, the real builders of the nation who concretes and strengthen the backbone of country. Our ever-green and ever-growing civil engineering department was established in 2006 with 60 intake capacity and offers bachelor of engineering degree. We also runs PG program in Construction Management with an intake of 24 seats.
Our Civil Engineering department has adequate and well qualified faculties, out of which 7 are highly qualified with Ph.D. degree and others are pursuing from reputed Institutions and Universities. The department is well developed with more than sufficient infrastructure with 10 well established laboratories equipped with all necessary and sophisticated instruments and advanced facilities required for providing quality education to the students and also to offer consultancy services to various private as well as government organizations.
The department has strong focus in the research areas of Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Technology and Management. We also actively involved in basic and applied research and consultancy to provide high quality technical advisory support through various R&D and consultancy projects.
To achieve the vision and mission of our department we disseminate the technical knowledge, develop professional skills and impart morals as well as values to develop not only competent engineers but also good citizens to serve the society and nation. For 360 degree development of our students we established several student clubs like social club, literacy club, sport club, art club etc. and associations like CESA. We also run student chapters like IEI, ISTE and ACCE to enhance and explore latest technology and to strengthen professional relationship with industries through expert talks, training programs, workshops and conferences.
Our esteemed Alumni who are nationally and internationally recognized and occupies good positions in government, semi government, private sectors, industry and academics, are witnessed our student centric quality teaching- learning activities, student development activities, positive attitude, honest and constant efforts to develop competent civil engineers.
