The Department of Automation & Robotics Engineering is established in year 2025. Department offers Bachelor of Engineering degree with an intake of 60 students affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The department is established to meet the growing demand for intelligent automated systems in modern industries. The field integrates advanced control systems and robotics to minimize human effort in repetitive, hazardous, and high-precision tasks.
The curriculum is designed to meet current and future industry demands. Students gain knowledge in robotics design, embedded systems, AI & machine learning, sensors and actuators, PLC & SCADA, computer vision, and autonomous navigation. Hands-on learning is emphasized through laboratory work, projects, and internships.
Graduates can pursue careers as Robotics Engineers, Control Systems Designers, AI/ML Developers, Mechatronics Engineers, and Embedded Systems Specialists. They find opportunities across sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, defense, logistics, and entertainment, with strong prospects for startups and entrepreneurship. Automation & Robotics engineers are responsible for designing and maintaining automated systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
