Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)

 

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship program initiated by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. The mission of UBA is to connect institutions of higher education, including IITs, NITs, and universities, with local communities to address the developmental challenges of rural India through appropriate technologies and interventions. The program aims to create a conducive environment for sustainable and inclusive growth in rural areas.

 

Our Institute’s Role in UBA

Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj’s Karmaveer Adv. Baburao Ganpatrao Thakare College of Engineering, Nashik is proud to be a Participating Institute (PI) under the UBA initiative. We are committed to bridging the gap between knowledge and practice by engaging students, faculty, and staff in various developmental initiatives in rural villages.

The UBA Cell at our institute is dedicated to working in close coordination with the rural community to understand their needs, identify challenges, and implement sustainable solutions.

 

Objectives of UBA at KBTCOE

  • To actively involve students and faculty in identifying and addressing rural challenges through innovative engineering solutions and community-driven projects.
  • To empower rural communities by integrating sustainable technologies and knowledge for addressing social, environmental, and educational issues.
  • To promote sustainable and inclusive development by fostering innovation in areas like renewable energy, environmental conservation, and access to basic amenities.
  • To enhance awareness of rural issues among students, faculty, and communities, encouraging collaborative efforts for the holistic development of adopted villages.
  • To provide a platform for students to apply academic knowledge in real-world, ensuring impactful contributions towards societal welfare.
