Mechanism models have been developed and animated videos are availed in the theory of machines laboratory for better understanding of theory of machines subject. Students of Mechanical Engineering are gaining the fundamental knowledge of kinematic pair, link, element and degree of freedom by handling the models of different mechanisms. Animated videos are providing better insight and visualization of motion transmission in the mechanisms during practical sessions of students.

Motorised cut section model of Internal Combustion Engine has been developed for learning the functioning of different components of automobiles. Electrical motor is used as the prime mover for supply of power to the crank shaft of engine. Students can easily understand the power transmission from crank shaft to the wheel. This working model consists of engine, propeller shaft, differential gear box, electrical motor, clutches and wheel.
